Benjamin’s Wood – Behind the Track

When I started working on Benjamin’s Wood, I wasn’t just trying to make a song — I was chasing a feeling. You know that strange mix of fascination and fear you get when you walk into a forest at night? There’s only the moon to guide you, the path is uncertain, and every little sound feels bigger than it should. A branch snaps, the wind stirs the leaves, an animal cries in the distance… and you can’t help but wonder if you’re really alone, or if something is already there in the dark, waiting.

That was the spark. I wanted the music to capture that anxiety of being lost in the woods, but also the weird beauty of it — how nature at night is both terrifying and hypnotic at the same time. I’ve always loved how survival horror games like Resident Evil use sound to make you feel uneasy, to pull you into their world. I wanted to bring that kind of tension into this track.

So Benjamin’s Wood became a blend of those ideas: the synths are like whispers between the trees, the bass feels like footsteps following you, and the melodies carry that feeling of something unknown just beyond your sight. It’s not just a track to listen to — it’s more like a short walk through fear, mystery, and the kind of beauty you only find in the dark.

If you’ve ever stepped into a forest after sunset, you know what I mean: it’s never really silent. The night is alive, and that’s what I tried to turn into sound.
