Every mission has a beginning.
As I prepare for the release of my third album, I find myself looking back to where it all started — Tactical Action, my very first full-length project.
It wasn’t just an album; it was a journey into the worlds that shaped me: the adrenaline of action films, the intensity of classic video games, and the atmospheric energy of synthwave music.
A Sound Born from Movies and Games
When I began crafting Tactical Action, I imagined a soundtrack for a film that existed only in my mind — a retro-futuristic action movie packed with neon lights, secret operations, and high-stakes missions.
The project was deeply inspired by the cinematic experiences that defined my youth and creative vision.
Movies like Tron, Die Hard Escape from New York, and Robocop painted the backdrop.
Games like Metal Gear Solid, Hotline Miami, and Streets of Rage influenced the pacing and the feeling of constant movement and danger.
I wanted the album to feel like stepping into a pixelated arcade game or loading up a forgotten VHS tape, ready to dive into a high-octane world of explosions, heroes, and synth-soaked nights.
Musical Influences: A Fusion of Legends
Musically, Tactical Action draws on a wide range of influences that span decades of storytelling through sound.
John Carpenter was a major inspiration — not just for his iconic synth-driven soundtracks like Halloween and Escape from New York, but for the way he could create tension, atmosphere, and emotion with minimalistic, powerful arrangements.
At the same time, I looked toward composers like Harry Gregson-Williams, whose work on Metal Gear Solid brought cinematic storytelling into the world of gaming like few others. His blend of electronic and orchestral elements showed me how sound could carry a narrative all on its own.
Other inspirations include:
Vangelis, for his emotional synth landscapes (Blade Runner),
Hans Zimmer, particularly his experimental, rhythmic sound in action films,
Powerglove and Perturbator, modern masters of the synthwave genre who reimagined '80s sounds for a new generation.
Every track on Tactical Action was a small homage to these giants, while still carving out a sound that felt personal — fast, melodic, and cinematic.
Tactical Action Today
Looking back, Tactical Action feels like my first classified mission: a raw, energetic burst of creativity that laid the foundation for everything that would follow.
It was about setting a tone — one of movement, nostalgia, and ambition.
Now, as I gear up for the release of my third album, I’m excited to share more of the behind-the-scenes stories, inspirations, and secrets that fueled my journey from Tactical Action to today.
This mission is far from over. Stay tuned.
